GhanaKeyboards.Com Redesigned!

June 21, 2006.   Welcome to “KeyPress,” the blog for GhanaKeyboards.Com. This week we launched the new look of GhanaKeyboards.Com. The new theme, dubbed “Chill”, was inspired by an Autumn sky over Stanford University in Silicon Valley, California where everything looks forever lull and calm but where people are always running mental marathons and dreaming up new and elegant ways to change this world. While this might sound grandiose, and indeed I feel it is, many young people have accomplished a lot by believing they can make a difference and acting on this belief. We hope to emulate this passion for disruption of the old ways with newer and more progressive approaches that will help us achieve our vision of making vernacular accessible in the classroom and in cyberspace.

Over the next few weeks, we will be launching new products that will help accelerate the growth of interest in the use of Ghanaian vernacular. These tools are being designed to be useful elsewhere in Africa besides Ghana. The time has come when Africa’s presence in the information technology world will be more than a news item or a World Cup curiosity.
